Many will have tried other Ginger Wines, but this handmade Devonshire drink is a smoother and much more drinkable version that will delight the palate on any occasion.
How is it best drunk?
Our Ginger Wine can be sipped on its own, or used as the base for a multiple of deliciously warming cocktails when combined with some of our other drinks. Try it with our Bramble Scotch Whisky Liqueur 23% to make a Fruity Highlander or with our Rhubarb Vodka Liqueur 20.5% to make a Carrie MaK, or combine with a shot of our Demijohn Finest Blended Scotch Whisky 40% and ice to make a classic Whisky Mac cocktail.
How is this made?
This is handmade by a small team of passionate individuals in the West Country, we should know as Frances and I went to visit their winery in 2005. Started by Nigel Howard, a retired banker who escaped the City in 1994 to make wine, the winery team uses both traditional and modern production methods to create the best quality wine. There is a little something going on down there in the West Country, small producers getting together and experimenting, but my goodness they produce great stuff once the experiments are over!
