Aronia Berry Balsamic Vinegar can make a delicious dressing for a salad when combined with one of our olive oils or infused rapeseed oils.
It can also be used in cooking, as part of recipe, to make your sauces, gravies and stews taste simply amazing.
Aronia Berries, also known as a Black Chokeberries, come from North America and are rich in antioxidants. The berries have a uniquely sour, astringent quality to them. They are almost spicy to taste.
As a result our Aronia Berry Balsamic Vinegar exudes a burst of flavour, like a very subtle chilli, which can enhance the overall flavour of whatever it is added to.
How is it best used?
We are still experimenting with this magical new balsamic vinegar, however, its intense flavour lends it well to be used within a simple tomato and vegetable sauces, such a a pasta sauce, or a homemade soup.
Mixed with a little oil it can be used to glaze vegetables prior to them being roasted in a hot over to give them a beautiful twist of flavour.
We urge you to experiment and let us know how you get on.
How is this made?
Our Aronia Berry Balsamic Vinegar is made for us by Susie Hamilton Stubber and ex Master Chef of Great Britain winner, Bob Macdonald in Armagh.
Irish grown Aronia Berries are infused with Balsamic Vinegar from Modena, Italy to create the unique Aronia Berry Balsamic Vinegar that we know and love.
Crucially no sugar is added to the process which helps intesify the natural flavours in this amazing dressing.
A little more about Susie. Susie Hamilton Stubber began making delicious dressings in 2013 in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Brought up to love all the countryside has to offer, she has honed her rural skills of using natural ingredients to make unique produce.
We discovered her talents when we met her for the first time in 2018 and started with her Black Garlic Balsamic Vinegar. The rest as they say is history!
