The aroma presents an interesting meeting of north-east and south -west characteristics; Speyside pear drops and Islay peat smoke.
The taste in the mouth is quite remarkably smooth, gentle and well balanced. The tip of the tongue detects traces of salt suggesting Campbeltown or Skye; a trace of walnuts; the sweet dry balance is well contrived and prevents the whisky cloying; the finish is satisfyingly extenuated.
The overall impression is full bodied and civilised; ideal for evening, even post prandial drinking.
Our House Blended Scotch Whisky has been specially prepared for us by Adelphi, who are now based at the Ardnamurchan Distillery on the West Coast of Scotland.
This clever blend contains a little of our much loved Caol Ila Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, balanced against a couple of Speyside Single Malts, including Linkwood Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
The Mystic 500ml stacking bottle is shaped so that it can stack with other Mystic 500ml stacking bottles to make a striking tower of cubes, such as our Seville Orange Gin and Raspberry Vodka Stacking Gift Set.
Blended Whisky is created from a mixture traditionally of about 40% Single Malt Scotch Whisky mixed with 60% Grain Whisky.
