Demijohn goes Mobile Friendly with new Website
Demijohn, the eco-friendly liquid deli, has gone mobile friendly too with the launch of a fully interactive new website aimed at attracting new customers shopping on mobile devices who are yet to discover and buy its delicious range of unique, sustainable food and drink.
As the world’s first ever liquid deli, since 2004 Demijohn has pioneered its unique selling technique where customers choose the size and shape of their refillable glass bottle. The launch of this new website represents another huge step for the Company, focusing on multi-channel online sales whilst giving online customers the same ease of use as visiting one of its stores.
Designed by Glasgow-based Ecommerce experts Indez, using a bespoke version of Shopify, the new website is impressively quick to load and easy to navigate. Using the most modern payment providers such as Shop Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal the website is wonderfully simple to complete a purchase from.
Visitors to the website can choose a food or drink product and then select the size and shape of a refillable glass bottle. Alternatively, a customer can choose from a variety of tempting edible gifts. As in the shops, Demijohn bottles can all be personalised with a free handwritten message.
For a last minute gift purchase, the new simple to use website is a treat. Online orders are all delivered gift wrapped for free as standard and within one day if necessary.
A new powerful search function allows visitors to find products more easily than ever. Browsing the many inspired cocktail and recipe ideas unlocks one of the great hidden benefits of Demijohn’s quirky range of food and drink products.
Beautiful photography combined with unique locally sourced products and 100% compostable mail order packaging is proving hugely popular, with online sales once again growing fast since the new website was launched.
Demijohn MD Angus Ferguson said: “Our ambition post pandemic was to run a successful online business from our farm here in rural Galloway with the main aim to sell more of our amazing local food and drink to the World. This, of course, has not been without its challenges!
Over a year of hard work along with financial assistance from South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) and support from many other specialists has been crucial in achieving this first step, a successful website launch. We can now compete online with the best food and drink businesses and re-scale our business.
Using Indez’s guidance and extensive Ecommerce knowledge we have built a beautiful website on a tight budget that with some intelligent digital marketing will allow us to further develop our business from one of the most beautiful rural locations in the World.
The reaction we have received so far from our existing customers is fantastic. These are challenging times for us all. However, we can build on two years of profit post the 2020 Pandemic and are now forecasting 30%+ growth in online sales this year.
Our future success is all down to the click of a button via www.demijohn.co.uk"
