The Canter Cup
The Canter Cup is a long refreshing rhubarb and elderflower cocktail, inspired by our Demijohn Events Team at Burghley Horse Trials in 2024, Flora, Chloe, Ella and Angus.
Made with our popular Scottish Rhubarb Liqueur 21% with a blast of elderflower, the Canter Cup Cocktail combines the bitter sweet taste of our amazing Elderflower Vinegar with the smooth sweetness of our Elderflower Cordial beautifully.
Exhibiting at Burghley has been a big part of our Demijohn journey since 2013, and has been a lot of fun. We therefore decided this cocktails name should be dedicated to Ros Canter's spectacular win at possibly the World's greatest five-star equestrian event.
The result is surprising and delicious drink, perfect for an unusually hot early Autumn evening at Burghley or to toast success wherever it might happen. Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 2 measures Rhubarb Liqueur 21%
- 2 measures Elderflower Vinegar
- Dash of Elderflower Cordial
- Fresh Lemon
- Fresh Mint
- Ice
- Walter Gregor's Indian Tonic Water
Preparation:
Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, including a generous squeeze of fresh lemon and a good few leaves of fresh mint, less the Indian Tonic Water. Then shake as hard as possible to create a smooth foam on the top of your drink.
Pour into a high ball or suitable tall glass and top up with Indian Tonic Water. Finally, muddle gently with a long spoon and garnish with some fresh mint leaves.
All that is left to do is sip your delicious drink and feel like a winner!
