A single 200ml bottle of all natural Walter Gregor's Tonic. This first class Scottish made tonic water has, we think, just the right balance of quinine, botanicals and fizz to make the perfect Gin & Tonic with it clean, crisp taste. It does cost a little more than your average tonic, but then we are not expecting you to mix it with just any other drink.
How is it best used?
Mix with any of our range of Vodka or Gin or Cordial drinks to create deliciously smooth, long drinks. However, should you dare to try it with our Demijohnnie Gin 50%, garnished with a slice of apple or lime, then watch out. You may become addicted to G&T's for life.....
Anything else I should know?
We have had to try an amazing amount of tonic water and other mixers to decide to stock this particular variety of little known Scottish tonic water. You cannot imagine how hard drinking all those G&T's was! what we discovered is that it really does compliant our current house gin, Demijohnnie Gin 50%, to create arguably one of the finest G&T's we have ever drunk.
There is of course a nice story behind this particular mixer. Walter Gregor's Tonic is actually made by the Rennie family at Peathill in Aberdeenshire. Claire Rennie has a nose for a great drink and this tonic is testament to her hard work, passion and skill. The Rennie's farm is located in the historic parish of Pitsligo overlooking the Moray Firth coast. Walter was a Minster of the Parish, installed by Queen Victoria at Pitsligo in 1863. As well as being a Minster, he was a folklorest, academic and natural historian and his love of plants is the inspiration behind this Tonic Water. He is described in his biography by David Buchan & Ian A. Olsen as a 'cheerful, humorous man' and the Rennie's like to think that he would have appreciated what we have created. He may even have enjoyed a wee Gin and Tonic drink himself, or so the Rennie's claim!
