Christmas at Demijohn is our new festive food & drink event at Glenlair Steading with mulled drinks, mince pies and Christmas Carols. It is of course also a great chance to do some much needed Christmas shopping in our new Demijohn store!

Our new family friendly free Christmas event is designed to be enjoyed by persons of all ages and aims to get everyone into the spirit of Christmas.

When & Where will it be held?

Christmas at Demijohn will be held at Demijohn in Glenlair Steading between 4pm and 7pm on Sat 7th December 2024.

What can you expect?

Our new store within the charming and historic setting of Glenlair Steading will be open all day from 10am to 7pm for free tastings of our unique range of handmade, sustainable food and drink.

As the evening draws in, Glenlair Steading will come alive with its festive lights and firepit. With a colourful Christmas tree, the aroma of mulled drinks and mince pies and the sound of Christmas Carols a charming evening of fun will be had by all.

For those who really want to get into the spirit of the occasion, our famous Demijohn Cocktail Bar will be mixing up a selection of winter warming mulled drinks for sale, using our unique range of alcoholic drinks and alcohol free drinks.

Car parking is free of charge. Overflow parking will be in a field. Visitors park at their own risk.

By car, we are roughly 10 minutes North of Castle Douglas, 20 minutes West of Dumfries, 1 hour from Carlisle or 2.5 hours South East of Edinburgh or 1.5 hours South of Glasgow.

Please be aware that we are covered well at Glenlair Steading by the EE mobile network, however, there is little coverage with some of the other network providers.

Guest wifi will be available at the event on request.

Facilities - Getting around Glenlair Steading & Seating

The terrain in and around Glenlair Steading may not be suitable for visitors with certain medical conditions. We advise you to wear practical footwear and to be aware that it could be difficult to move around freely and easily due to uneven surfaces, grass and gravel. While there will be some seating provided, due to the nature of the event there may not be enough seating for everyone at all times. If you feel you may need to sit please bring your own camping chair or ask a member of Staff for assistance.

*Event Terms & Conditions:

The following unique terms apply to this event:

• *Free Mulled Drink Offer -To qualify for our FREE Mulled Drink Offer you must have first booked a Christmas at Demijohn event ticket online prior to the start of the event at 4pm on Sat 7th Dec 2024. Free Mulled Drinks are limited to one per registered person for the first 100 guests. They will be available on a first come first served basis, while stocks last. Free Mulled Drinks are alcohol free and will be created from our range of cordials.
• Access - Please note access to this event is free.
• Age Restrictions - To gain entry to the event, all persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an Adult (+18). All persons under 25 years of age must have proof of ID.
• Cancellation Policy - In the unlikely event of this event being cancelled by the organiser, Demijohn Ltd., a cancellation notice will be published directly to all ticket holders by email and via our website and social media channels.
• Pets - We love pets at Glenlair, so dogs that are well behaved and under control are most welcome. However, due to Glenlair being a working farm with livestock in our fields all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Behaviour, the final word - If you, your children or your pets misbehave during our event you will be politely asked to leave at which point you will forfeit the cost of your ticket and right of entry to the premises. Your name will also be added to our refusals book which may then prevent access to future Demijohn events. You have been warned!
